The Association’s Objectives and Scope of Work: • All women (especially the poor, widows, divorcees, and marginalized). Youth (males and females). Children.
Vision: To be a leader in women’s development in partnership with all local and international organizations.
Mission: To implement programs and projects for women’s development in Yemeni society.
Objectives:
1. To empower women in community development.
2. To contribute to eliminating all forms of discrimination, neglect, marginalization, and exclusion of women.
3. To work towards alleviating poverty.
4. To establish training programs and income-generating projects for women.
5. To contribute to nurturing the skills, expertise, and talents of women and youth.
6. To contribute to protecting society from the dangers of pollution.
The association was founded on June 8, 2005, and is the first women’s development association in Al-Buraiqah District, Aden.
The association was assigned to manage the productive families center in Al-Buraiqah in 2011, but this assignment was revoked for all associations in 2021.
Activities offered at the association throughout the year:
Tailoring and sewing, handicrafts, first aid
Hairdressing, henna designs, English language instruction
Cooking arts, incense making, glass painting.
Courses that are coordinated: Life Skills, Human Resources Development, Civil Defense, Environmental Protection.
Awareness lectures: in various fields.
Field visits: coordination of field visits.
Organization of handicraft exhibitions.
Working with the Environmental Awareness Center.
Assisting impoverished families in Al-Buraiga: Depending on the support provided:
Organizing festivals for children and families during holidays
Implementing some development projects and projects specifically for children.
